    rolling cart

Hey guys In my reading here seems alot of you use or keep your skis on a rolling work cart. Now I like this idea alot especially for winter storage but what I cant figure out is how your getting the skis off the trailer? Are you inviting a couple of buddies over for a game and beers and then all manhandeing it off? I know you can winch it back on but getting it off is a delima.

    Thanks

These rolling carts that people are using, where are you purchasing them from? Is ther a web site, are these the ones you see in PWC magazines, or are you making them yourself? Thanks for the input.

    Greetings---

OK-- Its time for us to obtain a shop cart. I give up on the local dealers-- all of them start now and go through the summer with 3-4 week waiting times. I'm OK with a wrench so.....A few questions--

How tall do you guys build the carts-- the height of the bunks/rails from the ground ?

How in the world do folks get these beasts on and off the trailers ? We have 04 GTX's that weigh in the 900 # range. I've tried to push them back on the trailer a few inches-- no way. I've considered a engine lift.

What about a lift sling ? OEM or ??

Anyone have some general dimentions of a shop cart ?

The big reason I wanted to get the Doo off of the trailer is so that I can lower it some to work on it. When its on the trailer I have to climb up and lay on top to reach down into the hull.

The pics and info you guys sent look great !! But they all appear to hold the Doo at the same height as the trailer ? Is that how you guys work on them-- at the same height ?

I built this, it's low and nice to work on at this height ... Kind of overkill, but i've built two of them to hold two 4-tecs in the garage all winter.

obviously you can winch the ski off the stand into the trailer. To get it off the trailer, i first spray between the hull and the bunks with bombardier lube to get the bunks nice a slick and let it soak for a minute. Then i just use me and one other person, put the stand against the back of the trailer, and pick up the rear two corners of the machine and in one swift quick motion just drag the ski off the trailer and onto the stand. It's been working for me quite easily.
