Is there a way to view hours on a engineless ski?

Curious of the hours on my XLT1200.. Is there a way to display the hours without actaully having an engine to start?

Is the motor out? that usually entails disconnecting the power supply to the gage

Yes, the engine has been removed. I can (re)apply power to the ECU quite easily..

I know what to do on a npv, but not so much on the pv. Looking at the schematic it appears similar. There is a 6 pin plug for the display. Black to 12V-, red to 12V+, And the only one I am not sure about is the signal. On the NPV it is green, and you just hook that up to 12V+ along with the red. It might be, it might not be. download the manual and study it. I just don't want you to fry your display
