    Anybody, Urgent question?

Well, yesterday was a great day for the most part until, The exhaust hose from my water box to the hull exit collapsed. Does anybody know of a part number or anything where I might be able to get one immediately? And I mean like Advanced Auto or NAPA. I'd like to have it today.

    Oh, it's the 1996 SLX.

I have one here from the SLT that should fit. ROAD TRIP. Or take the hose to a NAPA and try to match up some hose bends and stick a coupler in the middle.

I'm gonna bring the hose by the parts store on the way to the lake, worst case I have to leave one on the trailer today.

Just how soft did the hose get? If the junction hose between the exhaust pipe and waterbox is melted as well, maybe you have a running hot issue??

    OH NIiiiiice pad!!

It's an epidemic!!! I just collapsed mine today. Thank god it's just the hose, I thought I holed a piston. It was right after I was WOT running for a LONG time. My local auto parts stores don't have squat in a 3" hose. Looks like these old rubber parts may start to be breaking down after 13 yrs. Let me know what you find for a fix nut#1.

Here is the culprit, and a POS Advanced Auto battery. I thought initially that the battery was the problem with my Hurricane, but it still dies with a new battery. The hose has two huge bubbles on the inside. The pictures don't do them justice.

Make sure the filter and feeder hole at the exhaust pipe is clear. It may be plugged restricting water flow to the water box.

I think that was my issue. That TINY .040 hole that supplies the waterbox in my drypipe can get plugged with a large grain of sand. I ran my drillbit through it and felt like something popped out. I may need to filter my cooling water from now on. My best thoughts are finding a truck parts store. They may have a 3" flex hose for exhausts. I saw a box at Murray's that listed a 3" flex part number, but they didn't stock it.

Paperclip works well to clear out the orifice in the pipe. You don't want to enlarge it by accident with a drill. Reminds me of my buddy using a Hilti to remove a rock from his impeller. Worked great except for the hole in the pump
