Unhappy RXP stage II H Temp light coming on

I was out riding today and everything was great. The RXP was running really good until I stopped for a break on the beach. After a while of hanging out I jumped on the ski to go catch some races and thats when the H Temp alarm came on. The exhaust temp was reading from the mid 90's-103 . I had noticed earlier that the temp was in the mid 80's.
Once the alarm came on I turned the motor off and I let it sit for a whileto give it some time to cool off. I figured it might have sucked up some sand or seaweed. I pulled off to the side and checked for any anormalities but all seemed fine. At crusing speeds the alarm would take a while to come on, but it would come on almost immediate once I would get on the gas hard. I didnt ride anymore until I decided to go home and the alarm came on several times on the way back to the marina. And I did the same over and over til I got back. What could be causing this ?

BTW what are normal operating temps ?

    High temp should mean,

A hose is off or you intercooler is full of sand and or debris.

e-temp is not exhaust temp, nor is it engine temp..it's the outside air temp.

chances are your cooling is blocked somewhere like mark said

You Can Take The Water Lines Off Going To The Inner Cooler And Put Them Together With A Peice Of Pipe And Go Out And Ride The Ski And See If Your Problem Is Gone.if Problem Is Gone Do A Search On Cleaning Inner Cooler. Also Install A Strainer That Your Can Buy In Jerrys Store.todd

Would the results differ if the IC is flushed through the inlet or the outlet or does it not make a difference ? Or can it be done both ways to make sure all debris is out of the system ?
I dont have access to a bilge pump. How else can I flow the cleaner through the IC ?
Is the solution to clean the core diluted or do you run it straight out of the bottle ? TIA

Yes, get the Groco strainer to keep crap out of the IC.

    WB baffle support

Did you do a WB mod? The WB's vertical baffle support has been known to break from its welds and then get blown across the outlet pipe inside the WB. This restricts the exhaust flow out of the WB and can create a Hi-Temp alarm.

You could flush out the intercooler by hooking a hose on the outlet and flushing back. If there is anything in there it will come out. Then make sure that you put on a strainer.
