    Newbie Here And Need Advice...

I'm brand new to PWC (ownership), looking at buying 2 of them in the next couple of weeks.

    Here is the info:

I have found a 2006 RXP with 11 hours. Comes with a cover and was stored dry dock from prior owner. It is at a dealer somewhat close, but I haven't had an opportunity to go take a look at it yet. It is the 215 RXP.

    So onto the question:

Is $6999 a good deal for this ski, and what should I look at when visiting the dealer?

    Thank you in advance

Oh, and when will SD be releasing the 2008 lineup? Should I wait and see what they introduce or go for it?

No trailer included. The price is obviously their starting price, but their excuse why it is so low is, the guy upgraded to a 3 seater and they don't want to sit on it over the winter.

If you grabbed that for a few bucks less, you have a scoring deal. But ensure they allow you to test ride it and/or take it to another dealer (or home) to inspect it properly. Washers could have already gone out and caused damage so like the others have said, make sure you have a seadoo dealer/tech run the vin and see if there was warrenty claims or major repairs done.

6000-6500 is a good deal in AZ for that low houred ski, even if 08's are comming.

Any more thoughts on this buy? I'm really waffling back and forth.

I think the stealership is firm at $6999, I offered $6k cash and they didn't even counter. They would rather sit on it until next spring is what they replied. It is almost the end of the riding season around here and wondering if this will be a worthwhile purchase to hold onto and ride a few more times this year and then next season?

I know the 08's come out in a few days, but will the new ski/higher price be worth it. Looking for some advice.

    Wait.

    I am.

The mrs sold her '05 rxt and wanted to buy a new ski this summer. She looked at the 250x and the '07 RXT's...she liked the yellow and grey...I convinced her to wait for the '08's.

    She smiling with anticipation now.

Now that the 08's have been released....

What do you guys think? Go forward with a 12 hour ski that has no warranty claims, very clean, has a cover for $6999 or wait and see if some 07's come up for sale when the 08's hit the showroom?

This is going to be the 2nd ski on the trailer and my primary ski. I don't know if I can justify the $5k price difference for a brand new ski. Am I missing something?
