Modified Blaster and SJ take note:(Others too maybe)

Finishing big bore conversions on both a 94 Blaster and a 93 SJ, in checking the fuel systems out I found that where the aluminum tubing cones out of the fuel tank and 90's into the hoses, there is an inch long necked down place in the end of the alum tube that is less than 1/8th inch in ID. That is a severe restriction to fuel flow on a modified boat. I cut off the necked down part, deburred the ID, then slipped the fuel hose back over it. It stretches over it fine. Easy fix.
The bad thng is, with the fuel line on the original setup looks like big tubing all the way.

There is also a bit of restriction on the other end of the alum tube down in the tank, but its not near as small, and is only at the tip. You can drill it out quickly if you choose.

This may be the way other Yamaha's are, but I've never checked before, cause it looks fine untill you pull a hose off!
