    95 SL750 Poor Throttle Response

If you go from idle to full throttle on my 750 it bogs down and dies. But if you ease into it, the ski will go just fine and ran 52 on the dream-o-meter last night on pure glass. Any ideas?

    95 SL750 Stock with 100 hours.

    Thanks

    Alex

What ever the factory set it at. It has run fine for 1 and 1/2 years and then started to bog down.

Be sure to look at those carbs. What do the plugs look like after a plug chop?

What should I look at in the carbs. Like I said it runs fine at WOT when you get moving. Also what is a plug chop and how do you do one?

definately rebuild the carbs and check the popoff. If you pull the choke out while it is bogging, and it takes off, it's definately a carb issue.

Double check the low screw settings. Maybe someone fiddled with them without your knowledge? I'd still do what Ph20 said, and go through them carbs.

They always run great when they are lean on the top end.......usually just before they go boom.

Run WOT then pull the lanyard (keep the accelerator full throttle).
Pull the plugs and what do you see?
Try to look down into the plug and verify a tannish(normal) or whitish look(lean).
