    Speaking from experience....

My stock 250X ran 67.4 GPS out of the box - added a pump wedge, Riva Free Flow Exhaust, Riva Preformance Filter, Riva Valve Block Offs and did the RAM Air mod - Ski then would turn 7890 RPM and go consistent GPS reading of 69.3 to 69.7 then all hell broke loose....

    1st - plugs fouled
2nd - impellar came loose due to not being properly secured by Kawi at the factory - took out the impellar, pump housing and the pump bearings - Kawi replaced all on their dime
3rd - (Just today) OILH issues - Oil Overheating Max RPM 7100 and Max Speed GPS 55.9 - did oil change - same problem - dropped of at the dealer for time #3 - bitched for almost an hour and the went and put a 07 Red/White RXP on hold at the Doo dealer down the road - pending the out come of the Kawi repairs this time....

    And that's all she wrote....

I agree, WW is so FOS, why do you think they call it dream demo, because your dreaming if you think you'll get those kind of numbers from your ski..

Dont Judge a book by it cover.Never believe media hype.Thats my take.Tell the folks what they want to hear and they shall follow .Thats my 2 cents .After hanging out here a bit and seeing whats what.I believe everyone hear who post speeds have the best of all conditions to get those speeds .Its not that they hit them every time they go out.Am sure they dont.Nice mods cool temps and low on gas and body mass =fastest speeds .Man i learned this all here.

    Remember,

They did those tests in December in Florida. Far from where we are now
    as far as air conditions.

Thats the key! Hot weather makes a HUGE difference in performance.

I gps'd 69.5 on a bone stock 07RXP, but that was with ideal conditions at the start of the summer not to forget no wind and not a ripple on the water. 171ft above seal level. We gps'd several other identical skis that day with an average speed of 68.5-69.0.
As the others have said, the current heat and humidity well, it takes a toll on dang near ANYTHING that is force inducted right now.
