    When you least expect it.......

Yesterday at around 6:30 pm on the North Shores of Lake Ontario in Toronto I had just finished walking my Dog- I normally then go for a spin on one of my machines. This particular day I almost didn't put in because it was getting cold, windy, and looked like rain- plus there was nobody else out. I went to the ramp and tested the water and it was COLD. I procrasinated and then went for it. Got out there and could see for miles and miles, no boats. Weather calmed down, sun broke through, water went flat at 55 degrees and had the best ride I have had for about a year. Machine ran it's best (I won't post numbers but it was the best it has ever run,) and I ran 3/4 of a tank of gas through my RXP in just under an hour. What a great ride. This is why we ride!

I was by myself and there was nobody on the most popular water area in a 3 million person metropolitan, I really didn't want to be found the next day face down in the water. Just an awesome ride though. Almost impossible to duplicate or explain.

Those rides are few and far between. I've enjoyed that kind of ride too.

No, I'm going today at around 6:30 but it might get too windy this afternoon, but after my last ride I'll always at least try just in case. I could never ride again and always remember that ride.
