I've searched and had no luck, what SLT 780 Pipes are there?

I searched through this entire site and didn't find any except the triple factory pipes. Are there any others? Do they have an aftermarket "single" pipe for the 780? Or am I stuck with going to the triples if I want to upgrade?

    Thanks,
    -Jeff

PSI made triple pipes for that engine. Hard to find. They also made a single for that motor, which is basically like the polaris dry pipe. Do a search for dry pipe for more info on that.

Short, dry pipe is the way to go. The long, dry pipe has not been proven to work yet. 92 stock SL650 pipe is short. PSI had a short pipe too but they are hard to find.

A set of tripple pipes from a Pro 785 will also work, but it dose requre a lot of modifacation. Look in the project section. I put a set on my SL and BeerDart has a set on his SLT. Lots of good info in those project pages.

Wait so the triples from a 785 work? Won't the mounting be to big and what not? I read all about your pipes Rodneyae, there were great pics in there too... Will it really work? What is required?

Yes, they will work. You also need to read beerDarts project. http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=13374

As he did it in a SLT hull. He did have to do some fiberglass work to make them fit. I would also recomend a set of 44mm carbs and pro intake and reed cages. As far as the pipes you would need all three head pipes, all three expantion pipes, Head adaptors, collector and pro water box, I am sure I am leaving out a couple of things but read his post. Lots of good info.

The head pipes on a 785 will not fit a 780.

Sorry, I am sure that with some drilling, filling and grinding, it could be done.

Anything is possible. Sometimes it just seems impossible till you're finally done.

That seems a little extreme for spending a grand on it...
