poll: for broken crank snout victims, what yr was your engine?

Only one year? I had a 00 and a 02 with the chopped snout. I think Joe had like 3-4 different cranks on an 01.

you should be able to place multiple votes.. but i think you have to do them all at once..not sure how it works , but i checked the box for multiple cause some would be like you ..two diff yrs.
i'm not very savvy with this stuff. I just only ever heard of 01, so i'm already surprised. I'll REALLY be thrown if an 03 or later had one..

no Greg, just broken snout please. I'm trying to pick one problem and determine the extent of it, from a sample size of GH members.

Been thinkin about this poll, and it looks like the efi boats have less failures? Is it because the efi unit cannot have the rev limiter modded like the carb boats? Maybe thats the difference, when in rough water the carb boats rev to the moon with advents and such.

Any reason you think no "03's and up would be broken? Is there a change or improvement? I am trying to decide to go new crank( looks like old number upgraded to new later year number) or totally rebuild "01 190hr crank. I don't want to spend all that money to rebuild if the snout is still at risk. Thanks for any comments.
