    when , you repitch your prop

    do , you loose low end and midrange and how much top end from a 14/20 dyna fly non ported 1200 gpr to mayby 14/22to 26 ?

    Bigger is not always better. You must keep your motor in the rpm range where it makes the best power.

    What rpms are you turning now? That will tell you how much you need to prop up. If you drop rpms too much it will hurt both bottom and top end.
    I doubt you will need much more than a 14/22. Actually a 14/22 is big for a non ported 1200.

    Like Rich said its all about target rpms. Unported 1200s seem to make the best power around 7200. What are your current rpms and mph?

    I'd leave it right where it is at. anything above a 22 is big for an unported 1200. I'm running a 14/21.5 and its got me right at 7080-7150 range [12R grate] in this Texas summer heat, [with how I my pitch prop].

    Now, when winter rolls in, and you can scoop up another 150+ rpms roughly & you might be able to turn another degree...or two....only for the cold months....and only as a top end prop.

    *but for a rec prop, I'd stay right where you are at.

    your gonna need bigger cc's imho if you want to turn a bigger wheel.
