A Contender Has Enterd The Ring!
I found this on the yamaha board http://www.waverunner-fan.com/products/08models/fxsho/ it seems yamaha has submited a worthy contender . They look like the same hull as the other fx series but made with some new light weight material .

It may have an impressive HP but with all the garbage they put on it it's gonna need some hp to get the extended platform and cruise assist(what the hell is this???) moving.... nice for the older folks who wanna enjoy the pleasures of jet skiing(which I am all about, still working on my dad) but nothing to be linked as a contender to the boats we ride.... good find though!!!!

perhaps they may not be the speediest but Yammie sees to focusing on comfort, cruising and family.

And to be honest with you Bruins... this is a really smart move by Yamaha IMO.... they have taken a look at the market and realized SD and Kawi are battling it out for speed(comfort lower on the list but still there... sort of) and Honda is..... well...... trying to get out of the lawn mower business and they will dominate this market.... and yet still find the general room to make something like the GP 1300... which is actually an intersting 2 stroke beast. My bro had to put a little over a grand into his 06 to make it able to only lose by 4-5 boat lengths behind my T but it certainly isn't a slow boat... much credit to the boys at Yamaha for trying to appease to all audiences!!!

With the doo information out and now Yami that leaves Hydro-space and Honda if they are going to step up to the plate.
I'm glad 08 is starting to roll.

The colors are decent as well.
The other thing will be the MSRP. Keep it low and they will move.
Yammie had the best entry level proces last year.
08 will be interesting. 09 a repeat of 08, 10 you will see the trailers in the industry really raise the bar.
