    Carb Diaphrams

How can I tell if the diaphrams in my carbs are still good? With my untrained eye they look fine, but as far as I know they are the original ones. The ski is a 96 SLX 780.

If you don't know when they were done, replace them. For about $34.00 you can get a rebuilt kit, that's cheaper then destroying a piston, rings and maybe a cyl. They can be stretched and not up to par.Plus you'll have the comfort that everthing is good to go.

Or just buy 3 new diaphragms for around $35.
