I would check the start stop switch make sure the lanyard is in and all the connections look good. If all good there check the relay in the electrical box for power and signal coming from start stop switch switch. Do you have a manual?

The stop side of the switch can be an issue also you can download an gp1200 manual from the how to section and the wiring on the starter side should be the same trace the switch wiring out. The relay is in the electrical box and I have replaced one in my 1200 so they can go out.

man i hate to say this but try a jump start from a car battery (car turned off). could just be a weak cell in your battery..it'll show 12 volts but not enough amps to kick it. Sometimes it's the simple stuff.

thats what i was gonna say... also if you have a trickle charge put your batery on it for the night. then next day in your drive way try to start it... like dav said it might just be something really simple..

    goodluck
