    how do you compress rings?

What method of approach do you guys use too getting the rings in the jug properly? It seems that if you tried to do it by hand you would damage the rings. Cant have that!

if you put the ring in the correct position on the piston the bottom of the cylinder is tapered so that the ring will compress into the cylinder. they should go on with very very little effort. Ryan

Thumb and finger. Is your engine in the craft or on the bench? If it in the craft just make sure you do the hardest one to get at first and then the center and then the easiest to reach.

Make sure the pin in the ring groove is centered in the ring end gap.

I use a wide zip tie, cut it off when you have all the rings in.

After all the useful info I've gotten here I'm glad to see I was able to help someone else out.

I see we share the same zip code Artiom....We need to get together and go to Jordan lake or Harris, or Falls, or...well, you get the idea. I believe there's at least 3 other members that ride at local lakes. It would be cool to have several Polarisses...Polari....Polaris's...Polarises... Alot of Greenhulk members out on the water together.
