    Pump Reinforcement--IS this thick enough??

    here are some pics of the CF reinforcement

    special thanks to:

    Norm "gatorcountry", for sending me that super thick CF

    Charles "sleepless", for all the help getting it together, along with the west system and CF

    Jessie "Altezza", for all the help laying the CF

    now, I JUST HOPE IT DOESN'T BREAK!!!!!

    Just curious why you didn't use a prefabbed kit? Are they hard to come by now?

    it's cheaper to make your own. james practially didn't pay for anything they were scraps from previous builders. and the prefab is a shell that sits over it and you poxy it in. there are no air bubbles at all on james

    Thats the way i did mine, ebay has C/F cloth for 15.00. Another 15 for epoxy resin and your done.

    Great Forum! that's all I can say!!

    Ski went down, and everyone pulled together to help me out.

    the Kit looks nice, but it dosen't bond as well. I think the kit would be fine on a pump that has never blown, but since mine had already had issues, I wanted to bond the CF to the hull

    You guys did a great job - the repair should be bullet proof. And I'm with you, I like the bond you get when using CF cloth over the tunnel. The 4HS CF is made for complex 3D shapes like the tunnel.

    Another 15 for epoxy resin and your done.
    The West system is a bit more but awesome.
