well I know four guys that run RXP and RXT's and three of them live in the shop with SC clutch problems and one had only had ten hours on it when the oil pump shaft let loose and ate the motor. What has Sea doo done to fix the problem ? If it doesn't stay together with 215hp what is goingto happen with 255hp?

yes metal washers on all 08
larger pump tunnel on RXP-X for better acceleration, larger sc and external intercooler, no j-pipe, extra oil hole in sc housing for better lubrication

A stock RXP was already faster on top and has a better holeshot than a 250, w/ 255 the holeshot will be even better and with some slight modifications will easily be 5+ mph faster than an ultra. I see they addressed the ceramic washers but dont see any mention about them beefing up the hull or any lamination changes to stop the stress cracks and delamination, oh wait, that would mean they had to admit there was a problem... With 225 hp, brutal acceleration, and a stock speed @ 70mph its only a matter of time before 3/4's of the bottom rips off, not to mention they are having trouble keepng the SC's together with 215 never mind whats going to happen w/ 255...
They needed to address the ugly ass steering colum, and they did, with something even uglier IMO. Nice try though..

You know,, if sea-donkey honored their warranties, fixed ski's properly when they do break, and admitted to and fixed problems I.E. ceramic washers, cheap lamination and layup schedules causing serious delaminations trying to save money on materials, I would probably get rid of the 03 150, give the wife the 250 and get myself an RXP w/ a 5 year warranty,, but given their track record they ain't getting my 12K...
I'll keep the 03 for now, it's playful, jumps awesome, and gets better MPG than the 250, wait and see what happens in the next year or two,, seems like the PWC world is in a HP war, hopefully Kawi, or Yammi will come out w/ a 4-stroke 2 seater...

You shouldn't worry about the RXP. Worry about the RXT-X and the new Yami S/C
