Guys, i was wondering if any of you can tell me if stepped sponsons instead of all the way up changes top speed??? Thanks

It can give you better top speed as it stops the ski from porpoising and helps greatly with hook up. It is a must do mod when you add an aftermarket rideplate with more angle.

Just means to bring the front part of the sponson all the way up, and the back of the sponson to be in the all the way down position... Just cut the middle bolt area plastic with a razor so the middle bolt will be positioned in the middle from top to bottom. I learned this recently on this site was pretty easy if I did it lol..

Or you could have the best of both worlds. Stepped backing plate tp reduce the bouncing and and adjustable blades so the thing can turn. See this thread.
