Will Sea Doo replace SC ceramic washers?

I read in Green Hulk's comments today when posting the new 08 pictures, that Sea Doo is going to do something for all the SC users currently in use. Green Hulk can you spell that out in more detail?

I think you are reading too much into that. I said "Sea Doo would have a retrofit kit available" which means they will have metal washers available for you to buy.

Metal washers are available now so why wait and risk it?

I wonder if Seadoo is using Jerry washers or RIVA washers in the RXP-X...

    You mean titanium coated.

Does anyone know the type of metal washers Seadoo is using in their 2008 RXP and RXP-X?

titanium plated, gold color plated, or whatever it is, it will wear off start to slip. I believe this is why Riva is not plating there washer anymore.

Correct, that is why I am interested in knowing what Seadoo is really using, because if they are using any coated type metal washer, we are back to the "replacing washer" syndrom.

I heard that the washers are made entirely of a titanium alloy but have not been able to confirm it.

Dont forget the new clutch has that extra bit of pumped in oil that ours do not. The glaze might not even occur since the temps will be alot more stable. Sure could keep the springs cooler also. Might have fixed it all only time will tell.
