Pump oil and impeller cones
I have my Skat modded pump back and wondered how much oil to put in. Do you put the tail cone on, take out the plug and pretty much fill it up?? Seems like the pump would work better with some air in there, like a differential that you only fill up 1/2 to 2/3 full ... and what exact oil to put in? Oh, and how do secure the plug in the tailcone to make sure it does not turn/come out?
Impeller cones ... which ones stay on at hi speed? I have stock rubber ones and Solas green ones, not sure which to use once I put my ski back together with all the mods ... tips to KEEP the cones on too?

2 ounces of synthetic Mobil 1 75w90 gear oil is what i use.
Use the solas cone. Take a screwdriver and a hammer and drive the screwdriver into the threads in 3 places around the cone just to mess the threads up a bit. Then apply red loc tite and never worry about it again.
