Let us know the details, I'm currently doing my stereo install right now. I'm trying to figure out how to secure my sub.

I did a stereo in a mid 90s yamaha waverunner. Simple 2 speakers in mirrors and marine cassette player under the seat with a wired remote. I used car speakers and they lasted a few years even getting wet.
Goals for ultra stereo:
long run time w/engine off
able to hear at speed
plays ipod and sat radio
cheap (use parts I have here), simple, minimal drilling in ultra, removable
I'll get some pics up in the next few days.
What I know for sure is the mirrors are going to be replaced with 3 1/2" speakers

XM Satellite System Installed....
Monster... Would like to see pics of your system when completed. I installed my XM Satellite Stereo system on my ski back in May. My speakers were too big and heavy to mount in my mirror casings. I do enjoying my stereo system very much.

Kristy, you install got me thinking about putting a system on mine
2 day river run test results:
Hours and hours of music w/engine off (have to check current draw but the deep cycle is good for at least 4-5 hrs)
Wireless control (iJet) is slick, very slick (up to 100 feet from boat) http://www.abtech2.com/
Battery didn't fly out jumping wakes
Easy to hear all lyrics up to 40 mph. Above that I can just hear the beat.
Docked at full volume (no distortion) you can hear it from at least 150 feet away from behind the boat.
Mount 12V cigar lighter inside storage area (ipod charging)
Install switch so I can charge second battery from charging system
Install a few tie downs in storage compartment
Wire it so I can use dedicated battery or just factory battery
Better speakers (two ways)
More amp power and/or more sensitive gain settings (ipod volume max, amp gain max)
ziplock bag or cell phone waterproof pouch so when ijet goes overboard it doesn't sink

I just used stuff I had laying around. 35Wx2 channel pioneer amp, grey starboard, silicon, ipod, battery, tray, 1/8 jack to rca adapter, ijet RF ipod remote, electrical terminals and stuff, etc. I had to buy some 3.5 inch speakers from walmart. $12 for two. Didn't want to spend too much just on testing.
Here was the hard part... cutting a speaker plate to mount the speakers in. The material is starboard 1/2" thick. Easy to work with and durable. It's held in the mirror housing with silicon and 3 ss screws.

test speakers. I'm going to get some infinity 2 ways for better sound. they won't last as long but should still provide a couple years of service.

hole drilled through plastic panel that mirror attaches to. also had to drill thru the hull behind this panel.
waterproof amp on/off switch aka "pimp switch"
pimp switch mounted. yes, i know my boat needs a wash .
