    Question RXP-X More Horsepower, More Fuel Consumption..?

    I really like the new look of this ski, although I have to know how much worse the fuel consumption is- Anyone know where I can get this info? The reason I ask this is because I'm always on trips with a large group and after a few hours when everyone rides the rxp, the fuel is at 1 bar.

    Thanks, and hope everyone has a great weekend

    I don't know about the new ones but my RXT with S3 SC, Ex IC, and 42# injectors is very good on gas. I get 75 miles on a tank at varying throttles.

    BRP did present a gragh at the meeting showing fuel consumption, it showed the 255 to burn the same fuel as the 215 untill about 7800 RPM, then the 255 starts to use more (10% maybe).

    I do not understand why the ski would not come with a bigger fuel cell. Most places to do not sell premuim on the water.

    Good related topic. All these have desired premium but will take lower if that is all you can get. Have we heard how forgiving the -X's will be if you occasionally run 87 or 89 vs 91/93?

    True. Its funny cause where they tested the 08 Rxp-x's out was in Shasta. Shasta has NO Premium on the water. Not even 89. I had to mix 100 octane with 87 at the pump when I was there about 2 months ago.

    I am sure BRP brought their own "special" fuel for the tests....

    Any Modded ski is NOT forgiving. The 255 is modded the safety factors are gone

    I only have a 155 GTI and I think it's a gas guzzler! One of these machines would not be for me. Our GTI is empty in 4, maybe 5 hours.

    Could somebody with an 07' RXP 215 tell us approx. gas usage.....
    (full tank ==> empty tank)

    -full throttle
    -half throttle
    -varying throttle

    Also could somebody estimate the gas usage for the 2008 RXP-X...

    Could you tell me in hours not miles for all of these!

    Thanx guys!!!
