    Oil consumption on 2007 GP1300R

I had a XLT800 and had to put oil in that thing all the time - went through like 3 jugs a summer. Now on the GP I am still on the same container with over 20 hours. Is that because the GP is fuel injected and the XLT800 was carbed? Im not complaing just curious!
