Talking Stock Ultras do the Seadoos in Endurance

We have been racing in the winter endurance series and the ultras have been up the front all the time.
My stock Ultra 250 was beaten by a stage 3 kitted seadoo for 1st place.
One of the other 100 miler races, the other Ultra 250x was to good in the rough for the seadoo's.,,he had taken 1st place overall.
These Ultra's are just to good in the chop for any seadoo,, some seadoo's are running 260 hp ,
Just proves when the new seadoo's come out the hulls wont be able to match the Ultra 250X in the Choppy conditions.

    Is that what it proves?

Besides a hp increase...there's no other change to the '08 SD x's?

There are quite a few changes:

    Larger SC
    External IC
    other lil things...

The other difference between the RXP and the RXP-X other than a slight top speed increase is the incredible acceleration. Jerry stated that he belived that a stock RXP-X could pull and stage 3 RXP out of the hole But regardless, It's obvious that the Ultra would beat the SD's (Even the RXP-X) in endurance, I jud dont think that they were made for that.

I agree the Ultra 250 seems to be the ski to have for any endurance racing. Now for closed course in my opinion they seem way to big to try and race around a tight course. Also haven't seen very many out front in CC, but I think there are two out of FL that do pretty well.

I know for Supercourse(45-50mins races with tracks setup like motocycle racing, long straight aways and big sweeping turns) here in Region 8 and also in Region5 so far this year I've seen and heard the Ultra 250 is badass.

Also the pump tunnel is 18mm wider on the RXP-X

Curious why they opened up the intake for strictly...hole shots.

    Time will tell...

My guess would be to bring the speed down some. It could make a pretty sweet CC boat with that larger pump tunnel.

Only one I had heard of was the Ultra LX MacClugage built, but I havent heard much about it. I have heard it wasn't doing very well, but I don't know if it's true or not. Maybe it'll be at WF this year.

One ski that impressed me is Franky Zapata's SC RXP. I want one of those competition hulls so bad. I think with his offshore edition of his custom hull he won that Oleron race. From what I heard that is supposed to be a very tough offshore race.
