Cause of XL1200L Cavitation probs after mods?
Just swapped my props and noticed I've burned thru an IR plastic liner. I have about 180 degrees of the liner burned, thru to the aluminum at the center (abut even with the strainer).
Never sucked anything thru it besides water or tiny debris. Prop/drivesaft looked to favor the side with the burn in it, if I looked from the bearing side.
Didn't notice the condition when I pulled my 12/18 for the IR 11/18. Put about 4 hrs on since then, when I changed to a 13/19.
Any one with any good thoughts?
