    RIVA Thermostat ?

I know that there is like a 30 degree difference in thermostats between stock and the RIVA. Does the RIVA make the ski run that much cooler ? The E temp on the RXP is usually in the mid 80's would this drop it to the 50's or so ?

Can this be used with a stock ski ? or does it require that the ski be modified to a certain degree.

the E temp is not the engine temp. It is the air temperature. The thermo will work on a stock ski and it will help too. It will help on a ski with any level of mods. The more mods on a ski = hotter, so I would say a modded ski 'needs' the aftermarket thermo more. But like I said, it will work (and help) on a stock and a modded ski.

Im pretty sure the temp your talking about is the water temp reading in the display. Than is the water temp that your riding in. The engine coolant is alot hotter than 80 more like 200.

no, i was refering to the E temp, I thought this was the engine temp? not the L temp. Please explain. I had my H temp alarm come on a few weeks ago when my IC was clogged and my E temp kept going up and up. And as soon as I unclogged it, My E temp went back to the mid 80's. Where is this air temp taken from then ? thanks bud.

L-temp is the temp of the water you are riding in (liquid/lake)

E-temp is the temp of the air you are riding in (environmental temp)

I just installed the riva Thermostat on my Stage 2 RXP with good results.
We ride in 87degree water during the summer. After the install I have been getting about 50-80 RPMS more. But Ironicly, I was spining the ski many times this weekend and the Hi exhaust temp came on. Does too many spins cause overheating?
