    Water in CDI box

Ok... for those of you that have been helping here is the new update on the problems I have been having with my 96 SL650STD. I took the carbs apart and cleaned out the jets and re- set them. Everything in the carbs have been cleaned. I had a friend of mine that is mechanically inclined check it out at the lake the last time we were there. While it was running, he started pulling the spark plug wires off. Little change when he pulled the front and middle wire off. When he pulled the last (back) one off, it died. He said it is something in my CDI box (the black box sitting on the battery) So I finally had time and opened the box, and there was water in there. Where do I go from here? Do I need to get a new one or will letting it dry out help? thanks for any advice.

Check for rust on the connectors at the underside of the board, if it has rust-replace the board.
Actually for about 25 bucks, I'd just replace the bopard and get a new box seal.
Verify you're charging 13+ volts to the battery.

I am about ready to call it a season with the thing... Very frustrating. I will let it dry out and disconnect the battery and start checking connections. I have it open and drying (shouldn't take long in our heat right now). Tomorrow I am taking the camper to the lake to get ready for the up-coming weekend. I am thinking that I will buy parts and stuff for it this winter. I already have a list for it.
Thank you for the advise. Will do this week... hopefully.

Would highly suggest a Dielectric Grease after everything is clean and running right. Would help keep moisture from damaging the components next time.
