I am sure somebody can explain this better than me....but from what I experienced on the EFI conversion ski I built, during traction control, the ECU senses a load on the engine by how fast the RPM's rev on the motor. If if revs too fast, such as out of the water on a trailer when you try to blip it, the ECU will cut fuel and timing back in order to bring the revs (rpm) back down. You can not disable the traction control. It is programmed int he ECU.
The EFI skis can really be noticed with this feature when you try to rev it on a trailer under no load. EFI skis can sound and act weird out of the water. But once it is in the water, the ECU senses the load on the motor and it acts right again.......
that about right guys ? hope I splained it somewhat right.....
The slant detector is mounted on the front wall of the inner hull behind the foam. You can disconnect it or just open it and place zip ties on either side of the brass weight. I left mine in and enabled and it never cut the ski off.
* You can also put a peice of popcorn foam on either side of the brass weight.
