2003 Sea Doo GTX SC
I just bought a 2003 Sea Doo GTX SC.I knew when I bought it the SC was bad. It goes about 45mph now, is it ok to ride until I get it fixed? What will happen if I keep riding it the way it is?

i would upgrade the sc to 06 spec or 07 and some metal washers would be nice and if you can spare the cash the ceramic bearings are a good way to protect your investment.

That SC has no ceramic washers.

The more you use the ski with the SC clutch slipping, the more the drive gear on the SC is going to wear. The drive gear costs around $400 to replace... Ron

i would definatley stop riding now and fix the sc whether you upgrade to the 06 or not i would fix it now. I had an 03 gtx sc before i got my rxp and something similar happend to me, well sort of. I went away for basic training and ait for the national guard and i came back to a ruined 03 gtxsc. Whatever my cousins did to it busted it up royally. the teeth on my gears were melted and the fly wheel was an oblong shape. I had the joy of riding it back to the launch 5 miles away from my house, limping all the way home.
