    WSM wrist bearings or SBT

    OK

Got a set of wrist pin bearings with the new crank from SBT, but also have a set that came from the WSM piston kit. Which ones should I use.. I'm leaning towards the SBT ones but not sure. Right now I'm at the hurry up and wait stage of my engine assembly. Received everything in the mail then as I started to get things together I realized I'm missing a retainint ring (big snap ring). So I ordered one but apparently the factory is slow on shipping and I have to wait 10 days before they get it. Does anyone have one here in florida? Its for the 700 twin. Thanks for all the help guys this site is awesome.

They look different. The SBT ones are a metallic grey, the WSM is a darker grey thats pretty close to black. I think I like beer's idea of seeing which one lasts longer, but I doubt the bearing will be the cause of engine failure when it does (hopefully after many years) happen.

Ended up using one SBT bearing and one WSM bearing, we'll see if things pan out. I'll let you guys know if one of them fails, which I doubt.
