    Icebreaker Ride!! Ottawa Area.

If anyone from the Ottawa Ontario area is on here we are going to do the annual Icebreaker ride on Mississippi Lake in Carleton Place next Sunday.
I want to see how much faster a good wear ring makes the toy. I hit 70 in the cold water in the fall and the ring had a gouge in it.

I went out today. The water temp was 37 and the air was 50.
I am running a 14/19r and a riva grate. I could still only hit 68.7.
I used to run faster with the stocker.
I could rev up to 8200 at times but mostly 8150.
Something did not seem right. I cavitated a couple of times and it is a brand new wear ring. I wonder if I got the pump seal lined up properly. I made a rookie mistake and had it on the pump instead of the hull when I mounted it.
I will post some pics tomorrow.

why is that a mistake? I never had any probs with putting the seal on the pump and then sliding it in before!?...PR...

I could be wrong. I alway thought that it should be on the hull. That was the way I was shown.

It wasn't that bad. I didn't even need anything to keep my head warm.
Some years we have needed helmets.
