    Exhaust Exit Diameter Question

Does anyone know if the stock exhaust exit hole is the same diameter as the hole we drill for the thru-hull exhaust? I have to block off the thru-hull hole and I was wondering if I can just us the the same blockoff that comes with the thru-hull kit to block off the stock exhaust hole.

The OEM hole measures a hair over 2.75"...I drilled my exhaust out with a 2.75" hole saw, then wrapped the bit in 40-grit sandpaper for a long board...Made one quick pass through, PERFECT fit....

The thru-hull hole is 2 7/8 if I remember correctly. If the stock hole is 2 3/4, that means it's 1/8 smaller than the thru-hull hole. I wonder if that 1/8 difference could be compensated for with a mess of silicone?

I just re-read my first post and it is a bit confusing. What I am trying to do is block off the thru-hull hole with the stock blockoff you get from Riva with the thru-hull kit.

Thru hull holes should be 2.75" i imagine you could do it with the Riva plug and enough right stuff sealant

A standard OPAS blockoff works perfect...I did that on mine, marked the holes, used the original hardware and X bar....
