    Necessities for first time owner???

Any good suggestions for what I will need to buy when I get my first SeaDoo this week?
What do I need? What makes riding more enjoyable? Any suggestions for PFDs?
I need all of the help that I can get. Thanks in advance.

You need a whistle, fire exstingusher, and registration. Get the PFD's that you like and fit you, any style any kind.

Install the metal SC washers ASAP if you buy one with a supercharger. Replace the tie wraps on the clear bailer tubes at the back of the ski with small hose clamps (12 on my RXT).
Check hose clamps on the exhaust system to be sure all are tight and will not blow off at WOT.
Ride it easy for several hours then bursts at max throttle up to 10 hours. Change oil and filter at 10 hours or have it done.
Then go for it. Usually takes about 30 hours for full breakin.

What ski you looking at buying?

Wet suit of some sort. Had one on the other day for the first time and it was farmore comfortable than wet shorts and shirt.

Wet shoes are normally a good idea.... keep your feet free of deformity....

Life vest/gloves/shoes/ and even suit can be bought at multiple locations online.... I like Denniskirk.com.... zappos.com for shoes.... but definitely shoes....

I'm surprised nobody mentioned this--- A piece of rope to tie at the dock and that is long enough to double as a tow rope. Why paddle if someone is nice enough to give you a tow? Good to have a paddle to. I have both.

Then like evey one else mentioned. Life jackets (PFDs), sunscreen. I keep a pair of sun goggles in the glove box. You slowly aquire more stuff over time. You always figure something out that you should have each time you go out.

Just remember owning a Jetski is a really cool thing and your friends will notice it believe me. They will all want to ride. I dont have a problem letting my close friends that I ride with ride my ski because I know they are experienced but for some one that just wants to get on it and pull the throttle, beach the ski and run around in front of others is a big No No. Make sure you know and understand that you, your family members or your friends are not the only ones on the water and as I always advise (even my wife), make sure your aware of who is around you. Jetskis are so manuvarable (more so than boats) and the feeling is just so free feeling that we sometimes loose thought of others. Dont mean to come across as Mr. know it all, I been riden for over 20 years and have wittnessed alot of people that make it bad for our sport. I wish you all the fun in the world. Be safe and be selective of who you let ride your watercraft.
