I am looking at a 2000 Speedster 240hp boat... what do I need to know???
I have found a good deal on a 2000 Sea Doo Speedster boat. It looks to be in very good condition but I don't know too much about this particular boat. Can anyone fill me in on what issues there are with this boat or the good qualities about this boat?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

No need to delete the oil injection, BUT....remove that oil injection pump and replace that freakin plastic gear with a metal one....there is aftermarket for those....the plastic gear can break/melt under heavy usage, leading to no oil to injected and a 10 000$ engine seized because of that.
Plus remove that cheap spring loaded pump intake grate....the tines on those tend to break when they get weak (springs), and when the metal tines break loose they might end up inside your pump doing a disater to your pump in damages....even blocking the pump and leaving you to get towed back to the deck....go with an aftermarket fixed grate that is more solid and reliable...!!! For the rest it should be fine...!
P.S: I heard the spark plugs are quite expensive on these, and if they are due...you might get weird behaviors from the engine....pinging, power loss, misfires, briefly...check engine and all sort of thing...so a good tune up would be to replace these if they are old and due.
