    motor stuck

So I've got a '94 sl750 and I need to pull the motor out. Its all ready to go but I can't get the motor plate off it's mounting bolts because of the driveshaft. My seloc manual says I should be able to lift the motor up, forward and out, but the plate will not clear all four bolts at once. Does anybody have any suggestions or do I need to pull the jet pump out too?
    thanks

Pull the jet pump for sure. Remove the 4 bolts at the back of the pump, not the 4 nuts mounting the pump to the hull. Remove the steering cable and trim rod, then pull. Don't lose the rubber bumpers on both ends of the drive shaft. Easy to do.
