    Hole saw size for rear exhaust?

    I ordered another rear exhaust for my other RXP, I have everything ready to make it a 07 (or it will be here today) anyway I cant find my holesaw. I'm going to run to Home Depot at lunch (before UPS gets here) but I cant remeber wht size it is. Any help?

    Hey thanks, for some reason I thought it was slightly smaller and a 2-1/some bizarre fraction. Thats easy.

    I believe the hole needs to be 2 7/8. But the closest readily available hole saw is 2 3/4. Then you just use sand paper to remove the remaining 1/8.

    Yea, just wrap the bit with some 40-grit paper, and make one pass...perfect fit...

    just smack it in, don't even need to sand. tighter fit the better. silicone her up, throw the rubber gasket in the garbage

    You might have to chamfer the outer edge of the hole a little bit to allow for the radius on the thru hull fitting. This will let the flange touch the hull when bolting it up without bending or stressing it.
