What happens inside the pump when

When you suck up a rock?

I locked at the rock and impeller ( )

Does the rock stop the impeller from spinning?
If so where is the torque from the engine being transferred to?

If not does the rock just get stuck in the impeller area getting spun around?

Just imagine putting rocks in a blender. Same principle.... somethings got to give, either the rock or the blender. In the ski, it's the same thing. Either the pump viens, impellor, rock, driveshaft splines, pump splines any, and all of the above. In short, you got a big shit-rock-shake on your hands.
