Changing Wear Ring Right Now, Need Some Help And Have A Couple Questions

Have An 2004 Seadoo Rxp. I Have The Pump Off And I Pulled The Cone Off And It Is Packed Full Of Grease. Is It Supposed To Have Grease In It Or Is It Supposed Oil? And The Wear Ring Is A Pain To Get Out

Cool Thank You. I Used To Have A Ski Where You Put Oil In There, Kind Of Tossed Me For A Loop. I Will Toss It In Freezer And See What Will Happen

It will come right out, dont even doubt the method.

If you got some extra grease its always a good idea to put some in there.

    1.5 start to finish...

    10 minutes to Remove:
4 nuts hold the steering nozzle to the pump
    1 nut/bolt for steering
    1 nut/bolt for reverse
4 nuts hold the pump to the ski

1 hour in freezer to teach it who's boss

10 minutes to pull ring and go,"damn that was easy".
(actually about 2 minutes to pull the ring, the remaining 8 minutes spent wondering what's wrong because that went waay too easily)...

    10 minutes to reassemble
