    Piston Wash need advice

Guys I think the mag side is lean but its hard to tell cause its not real black or crusty. I will attach the pics. The other 2 cylinders look pretty good but mag I am pretty sure is lean. This is after about 2 hours one night and and hour or so at full throttle today. Let me know what you think on all of them. All 3 first then top right is mag bottom left is center and bottom right is PTO If you look at these do you think I can get enough fuel from my high speed screw to compensate or go from a 90 main to a 95. I dont have a 92.5 here so I would have to go to a 95 on that one.

They aren't all that bad but they could use a little richening...especially the Mag. The center looks good and the PTO not bad...you want them to look at least like the center one if not a little more piston wash...just my opinion.

MAG lean, CEN good, PTO needs a better pic of piston (TDC) but from what I can see, OK but I'd richen a touch more. How far is your screw out on the MAG and PTO?

I started at out 1/2 turn on all high speeds and out 1 turn on the low speeds. I turned the low speeds out another 1/2 turn because of a lean bog trying to take off. Taking off better now and I have been pulling the plugs doing full throttle plug chops they looked OK as far as color. Now that I got it running decent I pulled the heads to check wash. I dont know how much the screws will richen it but I am going to try out 1/2 turn on low for mag side and 1 and a 1/2 turn out for High on the mag. The others are a little lean especially PTO so I will try 1/2 turn high needle for them. Does that sound like it will help? I am just not sure how much of an affect 1 turn on the high speed will do.

    OK Here it is

    Was Now
    Mag
    Low 1 1/2 turn 2 1/2 turns
    High 1 1/2 turn 3 turns

    Center
    Low 1 1/2 turn 2 turns
    High 1 1/2 turn 1 1/2 turns

    PTO
    Low 1 1/2 turn 2 turns
    High 1 1/2 turn 2 turns

Is it normal for them to be so far off from each other? Center and PTO I thought where close, but I think mag needs a bigger jet. I am not sure I will be able to get enough out of adjustments to compensate. I need to get a 92.5 and go from there on the adjustments I think. What are you guys seeing for jetting differences between center and mag side cylinders? I am amazed they came all three same size from the factory.

What mods do you have done to it? Premix, Flame Arrestors, reeds, impeller or anything? What size jets do you have in it currently? Stock 95 750 settings should be 75 pilot jet and 90 main. low screws should only be 1/2 turn out on all 3 carbs. High speed are MAG 1 turn out CEN 1/2 turn out and PTO 3/4 turn out. Pop off is 10-18 psi.

I have the 92 Dry pipe on it because thats all I had the hull is a 92 SL 650. The impeller and jet drive is still the stock 92 deal I am just waiting on a few more parts before I switch over to a long pump and a stock SL750 impeller. Other than that no real mods The carbs are off a 95 SL 750 75 Pilots and 90 mains. I had tried 95 mains in the center and PZTO side and a 100 main in the mag side but it was so rich it had no power. Wouldnt hardly pull me and my 120 Lb girlfriend out of the water. If the center and PTO are close I figured I could get those with high and low speed adjustments but the mag side looked pretty lean I may have to go with a 92.5 main to get that one rich enough. I have no experience with these kinds of carbs so I just didnt know how much I could get out of the adjustments to richen it.
