If I was going to do it, I would use the parts for a motorcycle. Waterproof, shock resistant, and made to draw lower power, with size constraints in mind. Check out www.hawg-wired.com They have a class t amp, 150 watts, draws low power, makes little or no heat, and its small as hell...fits in the palm of your hand. The only downside is the price...but its really good stuff. I have it in my bagger you can hear it up to about 100.

I'm adding the finishing touches on my stereo. I got a JBL marine deck and 4 DWG motorcycle speakers. It's very loud, and I did it all with no drilling at all, however I'm still debating on mounting the deck and front speakers permanently. Right now is held on with industrial double sided tape, itís very strong I canít even pull it off if I tried. Iím going for my test ride this weekend so will see if it all holds up.

Actually, we have installation info here: http://www.fullwaveaudio.com/Installation_Info.html
Our systems are designed specifically for PWC in terms of being
waterproof and Class D amplification, which is the most efficient
method for low current draw.
The amplifier chassis is filled with epoxy prior to installing the
circuitboard, so it is truly submersible. The speakers have a full
1.5 inch suspension and sealed voice coils which makes them truly
submersible as well. Our wire is marine grade, and our switches are
sealed and waterproof. All made in USA.
These are factors which make the price a bit high, but quality is
remembered long after price is forgotten...
