    Solas prop update

Well I finally got to the water with my new solas prop in and gave it a thrashing as 5 hrs has clocked over. Fisrtly I have to add that my wearing ring area did suffer some wear when I sucked sand so my clearance is around 0.30mm. My top speed is down to about 63mph. I haven't WOT it during break in (So my boat wont have an oil problem then will it KAWASAKI!!) so a previous top speed is not really relevant I guess, but it was better than this. Gonna get my OEM prop fixed and maybe the wear ring sorted and see what happens. I wouldn't be rushing out to buy the solas prop unless you need another prop. My 2 cents.

what was pitch 13/22? Appreciate any detail about the SOLAS prop you installed. And, was the speed reading done at the same throttle? There was a speed decrease, correct? Any other mods done to the craft that may have impacted speed during your test run?

I didn't know SOLAS had a 250X prop on the market -thanks in advance for your feedback.

I'll check the #'s of the prop tommorrow, I thought 14/21 but might be wrong. No other changes to ski between prop swap(except for a bit of wear to the ring!), its stock otherwise. I was getting consistent 67mph at full revs - If I recall about 7200 but not WOT only about 3/4 (was running it in at that stage). Bit of a gas smell to oil now (5 hrs) but not sure about oil level as I hadn't been checking it much b4.
