    R&D Cool Air Intake Question

While I'm waiting for the other parts from R&D, I started to put in the cool air intake tonight. Has anyone installed the filter that replaces the block off plate under the glove box? I'm trying to install the filter without taking everything off. I took the two rear bolts off that hold down the glove box and loosened all of the others, but I can't raise the glove box high enough to slide the filter in.

Just wondering if anyone has found a short cut before I start taking more things off.

I pulled the access cover under the glove box and drilled some holes in it. I had to pull the fenders and the 4 nuts that hold the steering cover. I could lift the steering cover up enough to get the access cover out. I know the filter is thicker than the cover but you should be able to get it in there.

IMO..The filter that replaces the acess panel....Is not worth the money. You could have saved some dough and fabbed one up yourself, i did it in about 20mins.

I took mines off completely off saturday. I only removed the left side of the fender (the one with the reverse on it) three screws, remove the gass cap then take off the three screws that hold the left side of the compartment. lift sideways and remove cap. it sounds alot louder. I tryed yesterday on the fl. keys water was flat. make shure no water goes over the hull.

Thanks for the help - I only had to take off one fender. I thought taking off the fender on this would be as bad as my GPR (easy to bend or break the plastic clips). The Kawi fender comes right off - much easier.

    Now for a little testing...
