2 looks lean...detonation that is un-audible can still kill bearings in due time....

    ticking time bomb....

Looks like the gaps in the rings are lined up. Did the ring locating pins come out of the piston? That could cause a bunch o' damage.

Also the crank walked forward on you in cylinder 1. Looks like it might be rubbing the front of the case also.

yup, the front journal has moved foward. you can see the gap between the thrust washer and #1 rod.
and with your number 2 moving up/down that much, you lost a bearing.

Is this the original crank ? how many hours ?

yes original crank 180 hours....you got any sugestions ? im all ears was thinking about porting and 1390 but new crank and a set of pro-x will get me back on the water quick. the gpr spoiled me with its great handeling so when I ride my ultra 150 I feel like im on the edge of a slingoff (i just made that word up)..if you have any sugestions feel free to post , Ive got it strippped down and ready for parts.

Make sure you get a true and welded crank, That will keep the crank from walking forward.

sorry to hear your bad luck dave,

did you find out about the soot in 3

180 hours aint that many from what i hear, might put my welded one in this winter rather than leave the stock one which will be getting on for 140 hours...
