Modifying an 07RXT
What are the cheapest mods to get an 07 RXT to 70?
An Ultra beat me by 1 length out the hole and top end.
RXT best 64.3 GPS
Ultra best 65.7 GPS (Did not seem like that much but a diffrent GPS recorded that speed)
I have not really messed with this ski as my Dad usually runs it so it could do with some tweaking. (Plugs, Wear Ring & S/C cleaning)
I have a bent down 14/19 R that my Stage 1 RXP span at 8200+, do you think I should try it in the RXT
I would like to wake-up the RXT especially in the midrange.

I just did the Green Wheel mod to my RXT. It woke up the mid range, but I wish I had done the Stage 3 SC or Rude. I'm going to do the IC next. I'm modding the RXT and the Ultra 250 at the same time. The RXT is picking up speed, but I need a big jump. I just added the skegs (now it equals the Ultra in the chop, handling wise), but I need more raw speed and power. Boost is like crack - you keep needing more and more to get the same 'high'.

I'd buy individually the prop, intake grate and wedge. I'd get one of the aftermarket or homemade 4" air intakes (NOT THE RIVA ONE) with a K/N or an aftermarket large filter.
I'd buy the upgraded blower impeller and washers, and the thru hull exhaust. I'd buy Riva blockoffs and hope that someone does a knockoff of the RE's soon. The pump mod you can do yourself and lastly, I'd buy skegs and install them and fill in the bolt holes while I was at it.
Lastly, the only other mod you'd need to be a full stage II is the intercooler kit and strainer (which would be an extra 2-3 mph for $1200)and sponsons (which won't help speed, but help handling)
Beyond that, you're talking about stage III stuff which isn't really worth it in my opinion (for an RXT). You're talking a whole bunch of money and heartache for an extra 2 mph (blower, valve train, ecu, injectors, etc).

Bro, your RXT sounds a little slow to me... what rpms are you seeing.
Could try a new wear ring and fresh plugs just for the heck of it (cheap).
A Riva stage 1 will get you very close to 70 see link...

This is the first time I lossened a bolt on this ski its totally stock.
It ran 64.3 at 7800RPMs on Sat.
Fortunately I a few parts from my Stage 1 RXP that Iam going to install
Solas 14/19R Trailing Edge Down Pitched
Free Flow Exhaust
Got the pump off and found some rough edges on the leading edge of the stock impeller. (Pic attached)
What do you guys think? Is this where the Mphs went?

stock for stock Ultra is just plain faster, when I got 65.7 on first run you were at least 4 lenghts behind. Ultra will remain stock as my brother refuses to do any mods. No sense to modify your daddy's RXT as he is always cruising anyway. Just have fun and lets ride....

Jet Ski 69
A repeat of Saturday is what this sport is all about.
In my book modding is too, especially when you have real fun doing it.
The wedge, prop, free flow & Intake are free mods that were sitting on the garage floor.
Tonight, I am sure I added at least 4 MPH. Oh yea the oil was over filled too.
Tommorow I will fill the ride plate. I have nothing to hide man.

Antiguan RXP; I think your buddy is getting nervous.
Yeah, that damage could be your problem, also the wear ring as mentioned.
We have never seen a stock Ultra get 4 lengths ahead of ours.

Oh wait!! I forgot that there was a technical question here
As I agree with YoYamma it probably should be a little faster I would have to ask two things....
What are your RPM's???
What it the heat fade looking like down there???
In the dead of summer this year with heat in the 90's I wasn't pushing much more then 64-65 with 7900 RPM.... Now that it has cooled down I hit 68.6 today at 8050 RPM.... so let's hear the technicals behind your ski
