    what kind of oil??

    do thees 4-tecs eat a lot of oil? mine ate a half quart in about 12hrs.
    also i think i saw i can use 10-40 castrol non synthtc is that right?

    I've never had to add oil to mine, but I change oil every 25 hours or once a year. Are you checking the oil level correctly? Ski is level (either on trailer or in the water), warm engine, idle for 30 seconds, turn off for 30 seconds, check oil.... Ron

    Yes I checked it correctly, but I was wondering what kind of oil I should use...?

    not Castrol automotive oil...
    there are lots of oil related threads, when you get some time, do an advanced search and read up...PR...

    BRP oil------------------------Amsoil 10W40 MCF
    least expensive<-------------->more expensive

    not including oil off the shelves at wally world...
