I rode on one some (10?) years ago in Cancun. They called them Aquaray boats. You drove them from the marina to a reef for a jungle snorkel excursion. Not very fast (only 25 hp).

Yep, cancun rental skis. The sad part is, the place that rents these also rents VX110s that are about as fast. Nothing but junk. At the hotel where we stayed, they recomended this place, Aquaworld. If you ever go to cancun, do not waste your time or money with these people. You have to ride junk, and in a bay. The next day, just 2 hotels down from the Hilton, I found this guy who rented skis from the beach. He was actually from Dallas and lived in Cancun during the vacationing months and rents 4 skis. $50 for 30 minutes each. He had XL700s that ran great, and the cool part was that you could run in the gulf and he had no restriction on how far you rode. I jumped waves for 1 hour on that ski and was sore for 3 days. Best time ever.

I wonder how those would be classified according to the Parks dept. Those people look way too excited to be on a ski...someone repo that thing and make it normal!
