    2005 RXT turning 8100 rpm

Had replied to another thread and didn't want to hi-jack it.
My RXT runs 8100 and is all stock to the best of my knowledge. Someone on another thread seems to think this may be a little high. Any reason it wants to run there. Is it OK? What can I do to get it down if it is running out of the power band. Also what is peak HP rpm on this motor. I know on my 2 strokes that when you go past peak RPM, HP starts to really fall off. Is this the same with a 4 stroke?

HP peaks at 8100, somewhere around 208hp +/-5, depending on engine.

Yep, falls off sharply after 8100

8100 is perfect, but it is odd (a good odd) for it to be spinning that well stock in the heat. You'll be all over the rev limiter in cooler weather, though.

If you're referring to my post, I was speaking to proporjet about his GTX SC. They have a lower rev limit than the SCIC skis. Your 8100 is fine.
