    What Kind of GPS??

    What kind of gps do you guys use for speed? Looking to get one but dont know where to start.

    From what i hear the 2 cheapest ones are the garmin etrex and the garmin forerunnenr 101. The etrex needs a handle bar mount and the forerunner have a wrist strap

    Garmin eTrex Legend. Had it almost 5 years now, works great.

    Garmin 76 series....


    Floats.... can be sumerged in 10 meters of water for 30 minutes without damage and seadoo makes a glove box that holsters it nice....



    Great GPS, quick to pick up sat reception and accurate

    Grab a used one for not so expensive prices and you will be satisifed

    You can find the forunner and foretrex 201's on ebay for roughly 90-110 shipped.

    I just ordered from EBay the one pictured two up, brand new 110 plus 20 for shipping. I should have it monday. Its waterproof (up to 30 minutes) and comes with the "wrist" strap.

    If its designed to float why does it need to withstand being submerged to 10 meters for 30 minutes?

    It is the rating for the unit and how it can withstand water. Its called the (IPX7) rating. Watches, GPS, depth finders, fish finders ect are rated by this.
