pump shoe mounting surface cracks!
Ski is 02 gpr, went out this past weekend and added 2" pump extension and expected some gains over my previous best, didn't happen, I got slower. Put ski on trailer to find hull had taken on water. This am filled hull with water and found leak at pump shoe. removed shoe and found cracking at rear mounting bolts, YIKES!
mrbtd is coming to the rescue with updated brackets for pump shoe. Question is How do I repair correctly?
On pump shoe mounting surface - sand cracks, prep and apply marinetex, sand smooth?
Inside hull - break off old inserts and goo, sand smooth apply 5200 and updated brackets?
Am I missing anything or is there any tips to this repair?

The main thing I see missing is the pump tunnel reinforcement. Especially with a BB.
Updated brackets will go on top of the new reinforcement preventing this from happening again and keeping the tunnel from cracking.
Dry check the shoe prior to glueing and make sure there is a .075 (nickel)step up into the hull. I have picks of this in my gallery.

Ok, I was hoping to hold off on the tunnel reinforce till fall, but i already have the Cf to do it, So I guess its on the list also!
Help me with understanding nickel step? I can't find the Dukes pic of it, did see some nice vacation pics and some great looking yellow labs!
